transpromo conference pulls 300

New York City played host to the print industry's first ever Transpromo Conference. Oraganised by Infotrends, the 'summit' took place at the Hilton Hotel on the 22nd and 23rd of August 2007 and attracted over 300 industry leaders.

When you search Google for Transpromo, a number of various websites appear... and the number is growing every month. One noticeable addition is Infotrends' website for the Transpromo Summit. Well... for many, the Summit came and went all too quickly. One thing can be said though. It was a HUGE success.

Over 300 curious bodies squeezed into the conference room in New York, all itching to hear what Infotrends had to say about the future of the transactional print market. And rightly so. The Transpromo Summit was the first of its kind, and owing to its popularity, the first of many more to come. Infotrends are already planning another Summit in 2008.

With representatives present from many global giants, including Ford and T-Mobile, it's clear to see that Transpromo has already started to draw attention. The general feeling among industry chiefs seems to be positive, however most agree that there is still a certain degree of difficulty in the actual transition. Indeed, when Chris Lewis of Research Data asked the main vendors of the Summit - including Xerox, Oce, HP and Kodak - if they were using Transpromo themselves, none were able to say yes!

As part of the conference materials, Infotrends handed out their long anticipated white paper on Transpromo. For interested industry representatives, the paper is available for download on the Infotrends website.
